SUspension recommendations

I took my Soul tot he mechanic to have it checked thoroughly and while most things seemed fine, he did mention that the suspension needs to be replaced. He says OEM is the way to go, but I'm looking to get a second opinion. How's the aftermarket support for suspension on these things?

It's wise to seek a second opinion. If OEM isn't your thing, I heard that brands like KYB and Monroe offer good aftermarket support for the Kia Soul.
