EV light on dash.

My 2016 Soul EV Light on my dash came on. Car ran fine and I was able to get the idiot Light to go out by shutting the car off and restarting. However the light came back on shortly after. I took it to a KIA dealership to get it checked out. Car wouldn't act up so they flushed the cooling system and suggested I keep an eye on it. Dealer adviser said it was likely the electric water pump and quoted me $1800.00 + Canadian replace it. That seems excessive to me. The pump is available on line for less than $500. Is this something I can do myself? Thanks
