DIY anti-theft idea for mom's 2018 Soul

I'm trying to help my mom with her 2018 Kia Soul+ which doesn't have an immobilizer. Planning to put a kill switch on the ignition start wire instead of doing the dealer mod.
Does anyone know which wire handles the starter?

I think for that model, the starter wire is typically yellow and located in the ignition harness near the steering column. Just make sure to test it with a multimeter to confirm since it should show 12V only when cranking.

Should I be looking for the yellow wire at the ignition switch itself or somewhere else in the steering column area? Also, do you know if installing this kill switch will affect any other electrical systems in the car or is it pretty straightforward? Thanks, man.
